Event Details

Date: tentatively set for Friday, July 21
Event Time: 6:30 – 9:30 pm
Painting instruction from 7:15 – 9:15, approximately
Location: EdVenture Lodge of the Edmonton Valley Zoo, 13315 Buena Vista Road.

Painting: an easy, animal-themed painting that can be completed within 2 hours. Ideally, the animal theme can be connected to one of the animals here at the zoo, since the patrons will also get an encounter with that animal.

Supplies: The patrons will be working with supplies we provide (e.g. paint, brushes, canvases), however we will work with you to determine the supplies required. We might be willing to pay an additional fee for you to provide the supplies, depending on the cost. Paint used will be acrylic, unless you provide your own of another medium.

Artist characteristics:

  • Must be able to articulate clearly and concisely what patrons are to do when instructing the painting
  • Experience working with groups of adults (e.g. educators, program facilitators)
  • Engaging demeanor
  • Be able to create a painting specific to the event, with competent painting skills
  • Over 18 in age.

Remuneration: $175/evening, negotiable

Should this partnership be a success, there may be opportunities for future paint nights. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact:
