CANADA COUNCIL FOR THE ARTS TRAVEL GRANTS

The Visual Arts Section of the Canada Council for the Arts provides a range of grants to recognize and support the independent creative work of professional Canadian artists of all cultures. These grants are intended for artists and independent critics and curators working in the following art forms: visual arts including fine craft and architecture. Travel Grants to Professionals in the Visual Arts contribute toward expenses incurred to travel to an event important to the artist’s, critic’s or curator’s career. (more…)

ARTIST RESIDENCY: 104 PARIS

Invitations for a residency at 104 are based on the following principles: artists are hosted from the very beginning of conception of their projects (repeats and revivals are therefore not admissible), the process is composed of 3 phases: research, experimentation and production. The project involves sharing the creative process with the widest possible public.

Accommodation Information: Accommodation is rarely on site, but usually in an apartment close by and is paid by host. The teams chosen will be provided with: a monthly grant of a minimum sum of 1500 Euro per person (maximum two people per project), for non-Parisian grant holders, accommodation.

Deadline: A new call for projects will be on line in the spring of 2010.
