Alberta artists are invited to submit proposals for an installation in Manning Hall
Edmonton, AB—The Art Gallery of Alberta announces a call for submissions for new work from Alberta artists to be on temporary display in Manning Hall. A prominent, heavy traffic exhibition space on the first floor, Manning Hall is used by the AGA for high profile events and public and educational programs such as: exhibition openings, All Day Sunday family activities, Art for Lunch, as well as for external facility rentals.
“The AGA has always been a proud champion of the visual arts in Alberta,” explains Catherine Crowston, AGA executive director. “Manning Hall is a prominent, large scale space that encourages exploration and inspiration upon each gallery visit. It is the first art experience upon entry and as such, its place of prominence offers an extraordinary opportunity to showcase the work of Alberta artists.”
Submissions will be accepted no later than Monday, September 4 at 5 pm. The selected art work will be on temporary display at the AGA from February 17, 2018 to early 2019.
