Alberta | FAVA FEST Call for Submissions

FAVA logoOur annual celebration of FAVA members’ work is coming up in April of 2018! Now is the time to submit your completed film to the festival in the Awards of Excellence category. If you’ve got a new project on the burner, consider applying to our Production Awards. Check out the info regarding guidelines and deadlines that follow – and get’er done!

Any FAVA member in good standing is eligible to apply for any of these awards. This means new or existing members. Call (780) 429-1671 or email membership@fava.ca to buy or renew your membership. Associate memberships cost $85+GST annually.

Winners of the Awards of Excellence and the Production Awards, as chosen by the jury, will be announced at FAVA FEST.

Alberta Artist Les Manning Named to the Order of Canada

In recognition of a body of work that spans four decades, Medicine Hat artist Les Manning was named a Member of the Order of Canada. The announcement, which came on December 30, 2011, from Canada’s Governor General’s Office, celebrated his contributions to the promotion of ceramics, as an artist, teacher, and arts advocate.
