A Citywide Billboard and LRT Station-Based Art Exhibition
The Edmonton Arts Council (EAC) and Pattison Outdoor Advertising present #YEGCANVAS 2017. This highly visible, high-profile transitory public art initiative turns the city of Edmonton into an urban gallery exhibiting works by Edmonton-area emerging, Indigenous, and multicultural artists, craftspeople, and artisans. #YEGCANVAS is an entry point for artists who have had little opportunity to participate in public art or exhibit in the Edmonton area.
Submission deadline: 4:30 pm on Friday, July 28, 2017
This is an open call to artists living in Edmonton and the Province of Alberta, and is issued by the Edmonton Arts Council, on behalf of the City of Edmonton for public art projects under $20,000.00 as they arise.
This is not a specific call for projects, it is a request to keep your portfolio on file at the EAC to be eligible for these projects.
This portfolio opportunity is ideal for emerging artists, and is inclusive of all genres, mediums and styles – we seek portfolios highlighting 2-D and 3-D work. To apply, please submit a complete portfolio and information as requested in the information package.
The EAC acknowledges growth in artistic careers and encourages those artists who already have a portfolio on file to update it every 2 years.
