In celebration of Canada’s 150th Anniversary, and the 20th year of the Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund (EATF) Award, the Eldon and Anne Foote Fund has made a one-time contribution to increase the 2017 EATF pool to $150,000. The addition of the Foote investment, through Edmonton Community Foundation, will allow the EAC to award $15,000 to ten exceptional, local artists.
The EATF Award is open to any artist who is a resident of the greater Edmonton region (which includes the City of Edmonton and the Counties of Sturgeon, Parkland, Leduc and Strathcona); 18 years or older; and a Candiana citizen or Permanent Resident.

One of the ten recipients of the 2011 Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund Award was Visual Arts Alberta member Amy Loewan.
Amy Loewan is a dedicated visual artist and cultural ambassador. Many of her works illustrate the integration of her Chinese heritage with western postmodernist art practices. She has received numerous grants and awards including The Canadian Artists and Producers Professional Relations Tribunal’s Award for Excellence in the Arts commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Ottawa). The Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund (EATF) – Application Deadline: Sept 1
The Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund (EATF) is a joint project of the Edmonton Arts Council and the Edmonton Community Foundation. The fund invests in Edmonton’s creative community by supporting Edmonton artists as they create new work, change the direction of their careers, study with a master or renew themselves creatively.
