Edmonton | Upcoming Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund (EATF) Grant Deadlines

edmonton arts councilIn celebration of Canada’s 150th Anniversary, and the 20th year of the Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund (EATF) Award, the Eldon and Anne Foote Fund has made a one-time contribution to increase the 2017 EATF pool to $150,000. The addition of the Foote investment, through Edmonton Community Foundation, will allow the EAC to award $15,000 to ten exceptional, local artists.

The EATF Award is open to any artist who is a resident of the greater Edmonton region (which includes the City of Edmonton and the Counties of Sturgeon, Parkland, Leduc and Strathcona); 18 years or older; and a Candiana citizen or Permanent Resident.

A two-day PD session geared towards understanding and excelling at the grant application process.

Saturday, July 29th: How To Do It With Words
11am – 12:30pm: David Folk (AFA) & Melissa Tuplin (CAD) will explain what grants are offered by their respective organizations. They will give concrete information as well as tips and tricks to help you succeed in your grant applications. Free to All.
2 – 4pm: Book a 20-minute meeting with an experienced grant writer (David Folk, Chris W. Carson, Kari McQueen, …) to look over a final draft of your AFA or other application–in–progress and get suggestions on making your application shine. $10 per session.

Sunday, July 30th: How To Do It With Images
11am – 1pm: Patrick Close will discuss how to take photographs in Part 1 and how to prepare those photos for grant application in Part 2 of this 90 minute session. $10.
