Wood Buffalo | Food Bank Association Mural Project Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI)

Wood Buffalo Food Bank Association logoThe Wood Buffalo Food Bank Association wishes to commission an artist to paint murals on two c-cans located on their property in downtown Fort McMurray, Alberta. The murals will only be painted on one side of each c-can (2 murals total) and should contain the themes of food security, food bank, food community, together at the table, etc.

REOI Due: June 16, 2017.

This REOI is open May 26 – June 16, 2017.  The artist will have from July 1 – August 31, 2017 to design, prep, and paint the murals. Lewis Lavoie (in grey next to painting) and art teacher Pam Wilman worked together with 120 ESSMY students to complete a mural honouring the school’s patron saint, Marguerite d’Youville. The project commemorated St. Albert’s 150th anniversary and the work the Grey Nuns did in the community. (more…)
