Albertan youth, age 15-24, are invited to submit their best 2D works of art with the hope of being selected as a finalist to create their vision for the iconic 2019 Calgary Stampede poster and take home the first place $10,000 scholarship.
The following is a list of links to awards and scholarships available at Alberta’s Post-Secondary institutions. These awards and scholarships are in addition to ones provided by the Alberta government through the Heritage Scholarship Fund and other organizations.
The GDC National Scholarship Awards are Canada’s pre-eminent educational awards founded in 2003, funded by Canada’s top design-related companies, and coordinated by the GDC. Since 1956 the GDC has been dedicated to improving graphic design standards and practice, in the workplace and in schools. The GDC National Scholarship Awards encourage and support students in taking their design education to a level that will better prepare them for professional practice. (more…)
