Participating artists are invited and expected to explore their creative paths. The artists participating in the program have the opportunity to participate in open studio events. The residency has a strong element of community living. It merges a community living environment with creative artistic exploration. The rooms are all on the same floor, on either side of an L-shaped hallway. There are two kitchens and two bathrooms, which are shared by all those in the space. A series of meetings is organized each month, where people can present their work and exchange ideas. The goals are to create a platform for dynamic exchange, to allow the possibility for spontaneous collaborations, and to build up networks among artists. (more…)
